THE GROW MODEL
The GROW model is an excellent tool for coaching and creating focus both personally and for your team. As an effective leader, you’ll want to mentor your team so they can do great work at work.
In the Grow Model, GROW stands for;
- Goal
- Reality (Current Reality)
- Options
- Way (Way Forward)
Use the GROW model in the same way you might plan an important journey. First, you decide on where you're going or want to go, your Goal. Next, you identify where you’re starting from, your current reality.
Next, how will you get from your current reality to your goal? How will you travel? What time will you leave? What might you encounter along the way? This is where we look at your options.
Finally, once your Goal is established, you understand where you're starting from and you’ve considered all your options, the GROW model helps you create a plan for the Way Forward.
